Learn a language from what you watch

Native subtitles and a hover dictionary work the same in every language. Kitsumi's Dictionary tab has 937 dictionaries for 49 languages, ready to install in one click. Here's what you get for yours.

Japanese 日本語

The deepest support: Jitendex, JMdict in eight languages, JMnedict for names, KANJIDIC, JLPT levels and furigana. Each line is read two ways, since Japanese has no spaces.

Korean 한국어

KRDICT learner dictionaries with definitions in many languages, plus pronunciation and frequency data.

Chinese 中文

CC-CEDICT and Wiktionary dictionaries, with an optional word pack that splits every line into real dictionary words.

Every language with ready-made dictionaries

Don't see your language?

Cantonese, Bengali, Tamil, Swahili, Esperanto and other long-tail languages use the same subtitles and hover. The Dictionary tab labels languages with no ready-made dictionary yet, and you can always import your own Yomitan .zip or .json, or a .tsv word list.
